Expired: IGNITE: Youth Leadership Mentor Positions Still Open
Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire is hiring four Youth Leadership Mentors to work as part of our IGNITE programme starting this September.
Applicant Requirements
This is a paid position requiring 15 hours a week is open to students who will be in the third year of their undergraduate degree starting this September. We do understand that the final year of any degree level course is a hectic time, and so these hours are flexible. If you are in the final year, have and interest in working with young people, and are looking to earn some extra money, apply to become a mentor with IGNITE.
About IGNITE
IGNITE is VANEL’s newest Big Lottery Funded ‘Reaching Communities’ Youth Leadership programme. The IGNITE team work with young people aged 16 – 30 and support them as they take the lead on projects, campaigns and events that benefit their community. In addition to encouraging young people to take active roles on social action projects, the team encourage and can assist young people in finding more general volunteer opportunities. This could be to enhance their CV, gain a place at university, or to simply give something back to their community. As a Youth Leadership Mentor with IGNITE, you will play a vital role in helping to support and develop the skills and confidence of young people in our community.
