Volunteer Managers Network

At the Volunteer Centre we know that many paid or unpaid staff responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers often work alone in their organisation. Whilst we know that our volunteer managers do a fantastic job, they often feel isolated in their roles.

The Volunteer Managers Network was set up to address this gap in support, bringing together like minded individuals to experience peer support, share ideas, opportunities and knowledge.

The Volunteer Managers network meets regularly to discuss all things volunteering. As a result of these meetings new partnerships have developed including opportunities to share training, organise volunteer recruitment events and gain knowledge, tools and techniques to address a wide variety of volunteer management related issues.

To attend these meetings all you have to do is subscribe annually to the Volunteer Development Service or pay per meeting (£10 per meeting)

  • Thursday 15th March 2018 (Volunteers Week 2018 planning)
  • Wednesday 9th May 2018 (pre Volunteers Week fine tuning)
  • Wednesday 11th July 2018 (post Volunteers Week evaluation)

  • Wednesday 28th November 2018

In 2017 the Network held it’s first joint event at People’s Park, Grimsby during national Vounteers Week. If you are interested in working together to recruit volunteers and improve the volunteering environment for all, come along and get involved.
