Safer Streets: East Marsh Community Safety Wallet
The Community Safety Fund is now open for applications
Applications are now closed for the second round of wallet funding. Thank you to everyone who applied. The panel is now informing each applicant of the decision.
This scheme has been funded via the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside (PCC) and is being managed by Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire (VANEL) on behalf of the North East Lincolnshire Community Safety Partnership
About the fund
This grant scheme, launched on Monday 31st October 2022 has a total of £50,000 available up to 31st August 2023, to support a specific area within the East Marsh Ward of Grimsby and accepts applications from voluntary, community and not for profit organisations in North East Lincolnshire (ideally experienced in delivering services in that specific area) that can clearly demonstrate how their project contributes to following:
Target Area of Benefit:
Projects must impact the area within East Marsh Ward covered by the area outlined in on the map below.
Groups in areas that surround this geography can apply if they can clearly demonstrate that their project will positively impact the residents living in the target area outlined.
Priorities:
Projects should address the fund outcomes:
- Design out crime
- Reduce / prevent acquisitive crime and other anti-social behaviours
- Make environmental improvements to reduce the fear and accessibility of crime

Application form deadline: Monday 28th November 2022. 12noon
Panel date: Thursday 1st December 2022
Results announced: Friday 2nd December 2022
ROUND 2 – CLOSED
Application form deadline: 31st March 2023
Panel date: 6th April 2023
Results announced: w/c 10th April 2023
Grant Limits
Applicants may apply for up to £7,500.
Match funding in kind or cash is encouraged.
Projects must be fully completed on or before 31st August 2023.
Whether small or large your project will need to demonstrate or consider how sustainability for the project will be achieved beyond the project end date.
