Safer Streets 4 funding for East Marsh. Applications wanted for “Community Champions”
Following on from the success of Safer Streets 2 which focused on the West Marsh, new funding has been won to run Safer Streets 4 in the East Marsh. You can read about the start of Safer Streets 4 on the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner website here.
There is now a new opportunity to apply for funding via the Home Office to participate in and contribute to this Safer Streets 4 East Marsh Programme. The funding has been secured by the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office working in partnership with NELC and the NEL VCSE Alliance is helping to coordinate applications for this application stage.
The funding is for small scale social action projects to improve community safety and reduce crime in the focus area. There is also one larger opportunity for one organisation to host a “Centre of Excellence” which will become the focal point for the community and any events that are hosted as part of the programme with funding for a post to support this activity.
All information about this application process can be found on the Sector Support NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE website here.
This includes guidance notes plus the application forms for the Centre of Excellence and for the Community Champions project applications.
The deadline is 10th October so please apply soon.
Update: The original deadline of 30th September was extended to take the mourning period for Queen Elizabeth II into account.
