The Lincolnshire Volunteer Card Training
The Lincolnshire Volunteer Card (LVC) is a free county wide training programme to recognise and reward volunteers across Lincolnshire. The aim of the project is to support volunteers and individuals who would like to get involved in volunteering, to learn new skills that will benefit their personal development and equip them with the knowledge they need to get the best out of their volunteering experience.
VANEL’s Volunteer Centre will be offering LVC training to young people between the ages of 16 and 30-years-old. Anyone with an interest in volunteering can get involved and you do not have to be a volunteer or have any volunteeering experience to join. The course will be delivered over the course of six weeks every Thursday from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the VANEL office in Grimsby.
Find us at Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, The Willows, 23 Bargate, Grimsby, DN34 4SS. The first session will take place on Thursday 3rd November 2016.
The six subjects that will be covered over the course of the training are:
- Good Practice Standards
- Health and Safety and Personal Safety
- Equality and Diversity
- Safeguarding and Confidentiality
- Customer Care
- Live Well
When you have completed the course you will receive your Lincolnshire Volunteer Card, certificate and Volunteering CV. Places are limited.
