Technology for Trustees
We’ve got three new training sessions now scheduled to support Trustees. VANEL continues to champion effective governance for charities and community groups, so we’ve put on these cost effective courses to help you to proactively support your own trustees.
Each of the training sessions will be held at VANEL offices at the Elms, 22 Abbey Road, Grimsby.
Each course is £20 per person (non-member organisations £30 per person)
Space is limited, so please book early. We may also restrict attendance to 2 attendees per organisation. However, at your request, there is also an option for us to run each course specifically for a single organisation/board at a convenient time or venue. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this.
Technology for Trustees Friday
2nd May. 9.30am-12.30pm.
Technology has never been more important. And technology is an opportunity for voluntary and community groups, charities and social enterprises to do things better or to do better things. But technology can also be risky, or complex, or frightening. The skills and resources available to groups can be very varied, and hence so can the implementation of technology in different organisations. This session is aimed at educating trustees and/or committee members to current issues around technology, what they mean, what might be the impact or opportunity and what approaches should be taken by boards/committees in ensuring that technology benefits their organisation.
We normally have a lead on finance on a committee – but why not a lead on IT? So if your board would like to better understand cloud technology, mobile tech, digital by default, social media, web development and other technical topics, then this could be the course for you.
