Through the Future in Mind programme, NELC has been able to secure training on awareness of eating disorders, which is to be delivered by B-EAT, an eating disorder charity, and will be offered to those who work with children and young people in NEL FREE of charge.
The training will be an accessible half day introduction to eating disorders, for professionals in a variety of fields. B-EAT have developed the course using decades of experience in the eating disorder community and will leave individuals with a strong foundation in how eating disorders work, why recovery is so difficult, as well as practical advice on the sources of help.
The course will take place at Centre4 on the following dates:
Tuesday 26th September 2017 – 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Tuesday 26th September 2017 – 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Any staff member wanting to book a place on either of the above courses should complete the attached enrolment form (see below), specifying which session they would like to attend. Booking forms should be returned to Amy.Chilvers@nelincs.gov.uk. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
Please note – This course is not recommended for individuals who are currently affected by an eating disorder.
