VANEL LVC Success
You will hopefully be aware that VANEL are currently offering subsidised places on the Lincolnshire Volunteer Card (LVC) training at the VANEL office in Grimsby. As volunteering is at the heart of everything we do, it only made sense the VANEL team would want to get onboard and experience the course for themselves.
LVC training is aimed at people who are preparing to volunteer so they have a good understanding of what volunteering is, what to expect when they embark on a volunteer placement, and their rights and responsibilities as a volunteer.
The training which consisted of six 2 hour long modules covered Good Practice Standards, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, Customer Care and Live Well, and each module was applied within a volunteering context.
Last week on Thursday 19th January, the VANEL/IGNITE team were awarded their LVC certficates in recognition of their achievement in front of VANEL management and trustees.
