Are You Interested Becoming A Community Health Champion?

VANEL’s Community Health Champions (CHC) project is on the lookout for people aged 16 or over who have an interest in health and wellbeing, to become volunteer Community Health Champions.

The project which is funded by North East Lincolnshire Lifestyle Services and The Morrisons Foundation, aims to increase awareness of the physical and psychological problems that people from around North East Lincolnshire, experience everyday, and help signpost them to the relevant health and wellbeing interventions which can support them locally.

As a CHC you will work as part of a team helping to deliver health and wellbeing messages to children, young people, adults and seniors, in a range of different settings across North East Lincolnshire. Becoming a CHC promises to be a very rewarding opportunity and would be particularly beneficial to anyone wishing to study or gain employment within the healthcare sector. All Community Health Champion’s will be enrolled on CERTA’s accredited Health Champion Level 1 training course. Where applicable, there will also be an opportunity to obtain further qualifications such as Dementia Awareness, Mental Health first aid, Drugs Awareness and much more.
