Volunteering Opportunities of the week

British Heart Foundation are looking for retail assistants to work in their charity shops. If you think you’ve got the customer service skills to help out, get in touch with the volunteer centre at 01472 231123.

Age UK MiniBus Driver
Age UK are looking for a Minibus driver with a Category D license to drive older people in the area to and from the centre for the luncheons on Tuesdays. If you’re interested, go check it out on the Do-It site!

Humber Hop
Here at VANEL, we’re all preparing for the Humber Hop next Sunday, 27 July. If you’d like to volunteer on the day, contact kelly@vanel.org.uk. If you’d like to take part and race across the Humber Bridge on a space hopper, you can register at the Humber Hop website!

DBS Checks
If you’re still confused by the new DBS system that has replaced the CRB checks, this short video on its new update service will hopefully shed some light on the issue.
