Read on for the details…

A reminder that our Calendar for 2018 is now available to purchase.

It’s A4 sized featuring 12 photographs from our Beach Hut photo competition from earlier in 2017 including the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winning photos.

£4 each and available from the VANEL offices and from venues around Cleethorpes too. Profits will go to RNLI Cleethorpes.

The Calendar was seed funded by Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Bygone Beachcombers project which, during 2017, has been researching seaside holidays and more. You can read about that project and the heritage aspects on www.bygonebeachcombers.org.uk and visit the Beach Hut to see more.

The Calendar has been put together by Capacity Buildings, VANEL and the Community Safety Partnership teams. Thanks to everyone who has been involved – and thanks too for the photographers who contributed!

All the details about the calendar are here www.beachhut9.org.uk/calendar .

Pick a copy up from VANEL, from the Discovery Centre in Cleethorpes or from Comely Cameras. Find out all the details on the dedicated web page. Help us to help the local RNLI by buying your 2018 Calendar now.

Beach Hut No. 9 in Cleethorpes is holding a Santa’s Grotto day on 16th December.

The Beach Hut has been a great success during 2017 with a huge number of people and groups flocking to the renovated beach chalet on Marine Embankment. It’s also the base for the Bygone Beachcombers Heritage Lottery funded project which is why we’re keen to have a last event before Christmas at the chalet.

So join us on the 16th December (between 10am and 2pm) for a Christmas get together.

All the details on the flyer here (or below).

More about the Beach Hut at www.beachhut9.org.uk about the heritage project at www.bygonebeachcombers.org.uk.

See you on the 16th.

And finally, we’ve updated the Beach Hut webpages online. They’ve now moved to the Capacity Buildings Ltd website after being originally hosted on the VANEL website. Capacity Buildings Ltd is the leaseholder for Beach Hut No 9 and ran the BygoneBeachcombers website so the Beach Hut pages are now hosted there.

Still available via www.beachhut9.org.uk so take a look.
