Green Futures Grimsby are inviting people who might be interested in volunteering with them to pop along on Friday 7th June for their open event from 1-3pm.
This is part of Volunteers Week celebrations and is a chance to see Green Futures and meet the team and find out more about volunteering there. Later in the afternoon they will also be having a celebration event with their existing volunteers to say thanks for all their efforts.

Grimsby in Bloom are holding a Litter Pick/River Clean on the June 8th to celebrate the Queens Birthday and World Oceans Day (10:00 – 13:00).
on Saturday 8th June join us for a World Oceans Day event at Cleethorpes Discovery Centre from 10am-3pm for litter picks, photographic competition, plastic sculpture workshops, arts and crafts and more. This year, as part of the revived St. James’ Festival at Grimsby Minster, the IGNITE team at VANEL are organising an event in Grimsby to celebrate Make Music Day.
Make Music Day is a global festival of music that takes place on the 21st June every year and IGNITE are looking for singers and musicians who are interested in taking part.

This is now the largest event on the East coast of England thanks to the support of our visitors, sponsors and local businesses. With a host of displays, parades, entertainment and trade stands we have something for everyone.

VANEL staff and the IGNITE team will be at the event. And the Blue Lights Brigade team and plenty of volunteers will both have a stand and will be out and about throughout the weekend of the event. Come and say hello.
This workshop is part of a suite of workshops run by the Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP), promoting the ESIF programme and supporting potential applicants to apply for ERDF and ESF funding across the Humber, York and North Yorkshire areas.
This workshop will cover State Aid, publicity, document retention and procurement compliance requirements for ERDF and ESF.
The workshop will be held at the Hilton Hotel, York (opposite Clifford’s Tower) on 9 July 2019 at 10.00am.
Registration will be open from 9.45am.
The morning session will cover:
· State Aid (basic introduction)
· Publicity and regulations
A buffet lunch will be served at approximately 12.30pm.
The afternoon session will cover:
· Procurement (basic introduction)
· Document retention

An Older People’s Advice Day will take place at Cleethorpes Memorial Hall on the 2nd October.
It will be between 10am and 3pm. Information and guidance about a whole host of issues for older people.
VANEL will be there ready to talk to people about Volunteering and Big Local North Cleethorpes will be represented to share news about support for local people (including free IT support).
