BBC Do Something Great Season – Volunteering Stories
The BBC have launched their Do Something Great season, which aims to encourage more people to get volunteering, as well as celebrate those who already do. There is more about the season below.
The producer of this programme is keen to feature good volunteering stories on the season website and on local BBC stations, which are fun, inspiring and heart-warming and would help people see volunteering differently.
If you have any good volunteering stories you would like to share with the BBC, please fill in the attached template and send it to Gaby Hornsby, producer of the season – gaby.hornsby@bbc.co.uk. The local map attached shows the spread of regional BBC stations, and they will be looking into a variety of stories to share at these regional areas.

More about Do Something Great:
The season will feature a wide range of inspiring programmes on BBC ONE and BBC TWO. It kicked off with Springwatch at Easter on the 25 March, and includes an online quiz for audiences to find out what kind of volunteering best fits their personality and interests.
The main body of programming will be focused around the end of May / through June, climaxing around this year’s Volunteers’ Week, where presenters and communities alike will be showing how they are already doing great things across the UK that will help make a difference to everyone’s lives.
You can find out more about the campaign on the website.
