Small charities share social media tips
While large charities with dedicated social media teams are puzzling over the merits of Instagram and instameets, smaller charities are working out the best way to harness online communications to their benefit says Amy Holtz.
Having only recently been given responsibility for the Volunteer Centre facebook page, Vicky Campbell has been faced with the challenge of making the page an effective one. It is also worth remembering that you should pick one channel of engaging online at a time, so don’t start twitter and facebook and instagram accounts all on the same day, take your time and establish one first. This way you can get clarity of message without overwhelming your staff or volunteers and have a good quality method of engagement.
