We would like to let you know of an exciting new programme that CERT are delivering in your area. The Enterprise programme gives young people (18-24) and unemployed for 12 months or more the opportunity to explore the idea of being self employed and uses a variety of tasks, workshops and one to one support to train and inform them. This programme is excellent for those that have issues with low confidence as it is a gentle approach to looking at an area they may excel at in the future.
For participants that see the programme through to completing their business plans and developing their business ideas further we will support them in applying for a grant of up to £2000 through the Talent Match programme. All participants will be mentored through the early stages of their business start ups to guide them and offer advice were needed. Business ideas could be as simple as setting up a market stall or running an online business.
Participants will finish the programme with:
- Increased confidence
- A better understanding of the skills involved in running a business
- Increased skills in marketing, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, research and business planning
Mentoring & ongoing support:
All participants will receive up to 6 months of ongoing mentoring support. This will range from supporting their business ideas, guidance with finding work, apprenticeships or further learning and the early stages of running their own business.
