VANEL Funding Surgeries event on day of our AGM.
On the day of the VANEL Annual General Meeting – Thursday 12th October 2017 – we will be joined by a number of Funders to talk about their funding streams and to hold 1:1 ‘surgery’ style appointments. The funding surgeries offered by us have been well received this year by all taking part, so we’re providing another opportunity for you to have valuable conversations with those who understand how their funding might align with your project ambitions.
On the 12th October we will be joined by representatives specifically talking about:
– The Tribune Trust
– WREN funding
– Interserve (Probation Services) & probation funding for the VCS
– The Crime Reduction Fund (CRF)
– Humberside Youth Association Funding
– Big Local North Cleethorpes funding
Short (15 minute) briefings will happen at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am and 1pm and 1.30pm by each of the funders, and then 1:1 appointment slots are scheduled throughout the day, from 10am until 12noon (when the VANEL AGM takes place) and then from 12.45 until around 2pm. There are only a limited number of appointments available so please confirm your booking as soon as possible.
Please contact Karl Elliott at VANEL via karl@vanel.org.uk or 01472 361043 to arrange your appointments as below:
You can arrange to see:
– John Ford to talk about the Tribune Trust and their funding.
– Sandra Chatters and Jackie Green from Interserve to discuss probation service funding on offer to the voluntary sector.
– Gary Allen, an experienced funding officer who will specifically be talking about WREN funding but can also advise more generally on funding approaches and what might be available for your project. (Appointments with Gary will be charged at £10 each).
– Richard Wendel-Jones from VANEL about the Crime Reduction Fund or the Humberside Youth Association funding, both of which VANEL are the point of contact for.
– John Mooney to talk about how projects in North Cleethorpes may qualify for Big Local funding.
In addition, other VANEL staff will be available throughout the day for more general conversations related to funding. Karl Elliott and John Mooney will be able to discuss approaches to funding success in general. Karl can also do online funding searches to help you identify what to apply for. And the IGNITE youth mentors will be available to discuss funding sources that are relevant for younger people to apply to or for projects to support younger people.
Please contact Karl Elliott direct to discuss exact time slots for your preferred appointments.
And don’t forget that in the middle of the day will be the VANEL AGM. This starts at 12noon, will last no longer than 30 minutes and all VANEL Member and Friend organisations are invited to participate. Refreshments and a light buffet are available after the AGM. All Members and Friends should have already received invites to the AGM but all information about that is here – www.vanel.org.uk/agm – or contact Karl Elliott direct to discuss or to confirm your attendance.
See you there.
