North East Lincolnshire Extra Care Housing (ECH) Scheme

We are excited to announce that NEL’s first Extra Care Housing (ECH) Scheme, Strand Court, will be opening in July 2015. It will offer modern apartment based independent living to local people who have an existing care need and whom would have otherwise required residential and nursing care. Please find the information leaflet attached.

The CCG has been working with a number of local partners to ensure the people of NEL have access to ECH as a way of maintaining their independence and limiting the cost of care. Our local housing provider, Inclusion Housing, are now accepting expressions of interest for the 1st 60 flats that will be available in the 1st scheme. The CCG and its partners will be looking to oversee the development of another 4 ECH schemes throughout the county as we continue to invest in new ways of supporting local people who have on-going care needs.
