We are the youth community development team who work within Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, funded by Big Lottery. We started our journey back in April 2013, and we’ve grown a lot since then…
The Enfuse programme set out to develop young people as trainee development workers in their communities to inspire and motivate young people to get involved within their communities. The aim being to strengthen communities, by developing more active and involved young people who are better able to tackle their own issues.
From event management to volunteer recruitment we do it all. Music events, world record attempts, and more — there’s nothing we won’t get involved with! We’ve run week-long programmes that have significantly reduced youth offending rates in Immingham, held employment events that have gotten people into work on the day, and run an ongoing and successful mentoring program for young people from troubled families.
If you are a part of a community organisation run by or looking for young people then we are always happy to help. We can offer advice on events management, social marketing, and volunteer recruitment. Alternatively, each of our team members has a speciality from the environment and recycling to housing and unemployment, and we are always more than willing to provide information.
