Investigating Deaths in Custody: Free Event at University Centre Grimsby
You are invited to the next Criminology Seminar Series at University Centre Grimsby. On Tuesday 28th March at 5pm, Bryan Woodward, ex Senior Fatal Investigator for the Prison and Probation Ombudsman, will be delivering a guest lecture on “Investigating Deaths in Custody”. WE Day Social Action Club: Free Event For Schools and Orgnisations Working With Young People!
Mini WE Day is back for its third consecutive year! This years event ‘Social Action Club’ aims to motivate and empower young people to come up with innovative solutions to social issues, and equip them with the tools they need in order to make a difference. This years Mini WE Day event will take place on Thursday 6th April 2017 at the Grimsby Institute. Big Lottery Funding Surgery: Places Still Available
Next month VANEL are hosting a funding surgery with Ros Aitchison from Big Lottery. The funding surgery will take place on Thursday 30th March 2017. Community groups wishing to apply to Big Lottery’s Reaching Communities fund are encouraged to book an appointment with Ros at the funding surgery. Places are going fast and booking is essential. Shoreline Office Closure: Furniture Available for Charities
Shoreline’s Osbourne Street Office is permanently closing at the end of next month. As a result of the closure, they are in receipt of, but no longer have any need for, their office furniture. Rather than sell this privately, they would like to offer it to local charities in exchange for a donation to their Charity of the year fund. Read on for full details.
Give NICE Your Views On Guidance and Standards
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has launched a set of new proposals to improve how they deliver patient and public involvement within the organisation. NICE are keen to hear what people think of them before they’re finalised early next year. Deadline for comments 28th February 2017.
