Volunteer Manager’s Network Recruitment Fair
Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire’s Volunteer Managers Network is holding a Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Friday 2nd June 2017, 10 am to 2 pm in the Floral Hall, People’s Park, Park Drive, Grimsby. The event will launch this year’s National Volunteers Week which takes place from 1st – 7th June.
Local residents are invited to come along and meet representatives from local organisations such as NAVIGO, YMCA, Youth Offending Service and Care Plus Group Hope Street Collaborative and many more to find out how they can give their time for the benefit of others. There will opportunities that suit people with different interests and skills so whether you are volunteering to find paid work or want to give something back to the community, come and find out how you can get involved.
The event will be officially opened at 11 am but stalls and activities will be available from 10 am until 2 pm.
There will be free family activities to get involved in such as 15 minute Thai Chi sessions delivered by Sylvia Leary of the Care Plus Group, face painting for the children and other fun activities are planned. Refreshments will be available and whatever the weather, this indoor and outdoor event will definitely take place! You can even enjoy a walk around People’s Park afterwards!
