IGNITE: Youth Leadership Mentor Position
The deadline for applications for the four Youth Leadership Mentor positions starting this September with VANEL’s IGNITE team is Friday 30th June. Applicants must be going into the third year of the degree course this September. This is a paid position requiring 15 hours per week and is flexible to fit around your studies. Counting Hope and East Coast Elite Charity Race Night
Counting Hope is holding a charity Race Night on Friday 15th September at Holton-Le-Clay Cricket Club. Entry to the event is £6 including food and all profit will be divided equally between Counting Hope and the Elite Marching Band. Read on for details.
Funding Focus for 15th June
Every fortnight we publish “Funding Focus” to highlight a number of locally relevant funds and the ways VANEL can support you in your applications. This time: upcoming funding surgeries in July with Gary Allen, with Paul Cheesman from the Tribune Trust and with Richard Wendel-Jones about HYA funding and our new Crime Reduction Fund. Also a quick list of upcoming grant application dates, an overview of funding support services from VANEL and more details about the Tribune Trust.

Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council is coordinating a voluntary transport scheme which covers NEL and supports isolated residents or those who are unable to access public transport services. Big Local North Cleethorpes Funding

VANEL’s Volunteer Recruitment Fair and Blue Lights Brigade Launch
VANEL’s Volunteer Managers Network celebrated this year’s National Volunteers Week (1st -7th June) by holding a Volunteer Recruitment Fair in Peoples Park on Friday 2nd June. The event was attended by VANEL Member organisations such as Dementia Awareness, YMCA Humber, and Counting Hope and also served as the launch of VANEL’s latest funding success, ‘The Blue Lights Brigade’.
Blue Lights Brigade programme ‘switches on’ in North East Lincolnshire
VANEL is delighted to announce its most recent success in securing Big Lottery Fund monies for its new project which will recruit and train retired emergency service officers as local volunteers with local community safety partners. HealthWatch AGM Next Friday
HealthWatch’s AGM will take place Friday 16th June 2017 from 10 am – 2 pm at Grimsby Central Hall. The event is open to all members of the public and will include talks from guest speakers. Free buffet included.
