VANEL Funding Surgeries event on day of our AGM.
On the day of the VANEL Annual General Meeting – Thursday 12th October 2017 – we will be joined by a number of Funders to talk about their funding streams and to hold 1:1 ‘surgery’ style appointments. Connected Communities Innovation Fund
An open call has now been issued for the Connected Communities Innovation Fund. The funding itself is from the Office for Civil Society and is being distributed by Nesta and the submission date is 30th October. Read on for more details and the link.

Humber Youth Association: Round 3 about to close
Round three of the Humber Youth Associations Grant Fund is closing at noon on 29th September. So if you are aged 18 – 24 and/or have an idea for a project which helps to develop the physical, mental or spiritual capacity of young people aged 13 – 24, this grants programme may be for you. Groups and organisations can apply for up to £2,500, and individuals up to £500. Read on for full details and to download the booking form.

Great British Beach Clean event collects far too much rubbish!
On Sunday 17th September, 35 hardy souls took the beach armed with litter pickers, gloves, hi-vis jackets and bin bags to rid the beach of litter as part of the Great British Beach Clean Weekend. A depressing 126kg of rubbish was collected far too easily. Read about the event and what we’ve learned.

Great success for Green Venue with Blue Lights!
There was an excellent turnout for our Volunteer Manager’s network session today hosted by Green Futures and featuring a presentation by Steve Lynn on our Blue Lights Brigade programme complete with a brief history of local policing.
