HealthWatch AGM
Healthwatch is an independent consumer champion created to gather and represent the views of the public. Last week, they held their fourth Annual General Meeting at Grimsby Central Hall.
The meeting was attended by over one hundred people and included information stalls from over a dozen local organisations working to improve the lives of people living in North East Lincolnshire. VANEL’s IGNITE team held one such stall promoting the work of VANEL’s second Big Lottery ‘Reaching Communities’ funded Youth Leadership programme.

The event was open to members of the public and gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions to a panel of experts with a longstanding background in health and social care. Notable guests at the AGM included Cleethorpes MP Martin Vickers and Councillor Ron Shepherd.
The meeting was well received by members of the public and stallholders alike, with 95% of people surveyed reporting that they were ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with elements of the day.
