FUNDING: Awareness Raising
The Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion has published a call for proposals for awareness-raising activities to support the successful implementation of the European Council Recommendation on Upskilling Pathways. Upskilling Pathways facilitates the access of low skilled and/or low qualified adults to flexible pathways for enhancing their literacy, numeracy and digital skills and/or progressing towards a higher qualification and re-engaging them in learning. The deadline is 30th June. Find out more here
FUNDING: small community groups
Skipton Building Society will provide grants of £500 to support the development of local grassroots groups from across the UK. Grassroots Giving aims to support small community groups which might not normally attract any sort of funding. Organisations should show a real commitment to their local community and enhance the lives of the neighbourhoods they are running within. Groups should have an annual net profit of less than £10,000. The deadline for applications is 31st July. Find out more here
The SUBWAY/Healthy Heart Grants are offered as a result of a partnership between the national charity, Heart Research UK, and SUBWAY stores. The money for the grants is raised by SUBWAY staff and customers through in-store fundraising and collection boxes. Running since 2009, the Healthy Heart Grant scheme provides funding for new, original and innovative projects that actively promote heart health and or reduce the risk of heart disease. It does not support general healthy lifestyle projects. Projects must run for between six and twelve months. Projects that run longer than a year will not be considered.
Support Adoption For Pets is proud to be the biggest funder of pet rescues in the UK. Every year we support hundreds of rehoming organisations across the country by awarding financial grants to help with the costs of care, improve rescue pet welfare and to invest in development projects.
