Skills and Opportunities Fund
Applications for the second round of The Royal Bank of Scotland’s ‘Skills & Opportunities Fund’ will open on Friday 19th August 2016. Grants up to a maximum of £35,000 can be applied for.
The focus for this funding is to support organisations that help people in disadvantaged communities develop, create or access the skills and opportunities they need to help themselves; skills that will enable them to get into work or start a business, now or in the future. They believe that by helping people gain such skills and access opportunities to learn it can help them turn their lives around and build better communities for everyone.
To be eligible to apply for the funding, you must be a not-for-profit organisation, a registered charity or state-funded school or college. Remember to look at your region’s priorities and make sure your application meets these. Even if you’re project isn’t shortlisted for this specific funding opportunity, you may be eligible to receive help in other ways so it really is worth applying.
The closing date for funding applications has yet to be announced but it may be as soon as early September so if you are interested in applying you should act quickly.
