One Voice Annual General Meeting
Community Engagement Group ‘One Voice’ will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 6th September at the Immingham Resource Centre at 6pm. The group which was established in 2009 works with the communities of Immingham, Harbrough and Stallingborough, along with partner agencies such as Humberside Police, Care Trust Plus and Humberside Fire & Rescue, to promote and contribute to the physical, social and economic regeneration of the communities.
The AGM will see the election or re-election of all the committee spaces within ‘One Voice’. The group’s committee structure has been designed to ensure that all aspects of the community have representatives appointed within it. To ensure this, all committee representatives must be a resident of Immingham, Harbrough or Stallingborough. Nominations for a role on the committee should be submitted by Monday 29th August by emailing a short paragraph outlining why you would like to be selected for a role on the ‘One Voice’ Committee and what you feel you could contribute. You should also detail your community links, skills and relevant experience to chair@onevoice community for a chance to be elected.
There are two ways you can get involved, you can either come along to one of ‘One Voices’’ monthly meetings and take part in discussions and volunteer on projects you have an interest in, or you can be a committee member with roles and responsibilities which are tailored to your availability, skills and interests in line with own constitution. ‘One Voice’ believes that it is very important to give community members a platform to have their say and encourage residents to attend the group’s informal public meetings.
If you would like to attend one of the group’s meetings, please join them at the Immingham resource centre on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm.
If you would like further information about becoming a committee member please email chair@onevoicecommunity.com.
Alternatively you can call them on 07513612964.
