Neighbourhood Watches relaunch

A Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) is a group of neighbours who support one another with the aim of creating communities that care making neighbourhoods a safer and more pleasing place to live.

The groups are run entirely by local residents with support from the local policing team alongside VANEL and NELC Safer and Stronger Communities team.

Once established funding can be applied for to complete projects in your street that matter to you.

Although NHW has been in the UK for some time, this month (June 2016) has seen the scheme re-launched nationally with new and exciting promotional products available for community use.

VANEL’s Steve Lynn has taken on the role to support existing schemes and help develop new schemes locally.
