Young Leaders project starts up with Big Lottery Funding

We’re pleased to announce this week that VANEL will be starting up a new project thanks to Awards for All funding from Big Lottery. Our project – “Young Leaders” – will enable us to support and encourage younger people into local voluntary and community sector leadership roles, whether that’s on trustee boards, on committees, in steering groups or leading on community projects.

We’re just about to start up, so keep an eye out for more news in the coming weeks. But you might be able to get involved…

Is your board or committee interested in getting younger people (18-25years) involved? Would you value their input into steering and leading your organisation?
Would you be interested in sharing your own leadership or trusteeship skills with people younger than yourself – perhaps as a mentor or simply through our networks?
Or, if you are of a younger generation yourself, would you be interested in stepping up and taking more of a local leadership role?
