World Oceans Day this year is on 8th June and on the weekend before – 3rd June – VANEL and the IGNITE team are holding a World Oceans Day event in Cleethorpes. Come and join in. Read on for all the details and don’t forget to hold the date.
It’s a little way off yet, but it will be Volunteers’ Week again in June and VANEL and the IGNITE team are once again getting involved in a V:EXPO event. This time there are local events across Lincolnshire and ours, in Grimsby, is on 5th June. So read on for the early information about the event so you can reserve the date in your diary.

Last week VANEL celebrated the hard work and dedication of VANEL staff and volunteers at our Executive Meeting. The meetings are lead by VANEL’s board of trustees and are an opportunity for the trustees to scrutinise and discuss the day to day running of the organisation. Last week’s meeting took place at West Marsh Community Centre and presented the IGNITE team with an opportunity to present the work they have been doing with young people over the last 12 months.
