In November and December, CARE run two Christmas schemes and are hoping people can consider helping them with one or both of their schemes – Toy’s for Joy and Create a Hamper. Read on for information, flyers and how to get involved.
CARE is a local charity that tries to relieve poverty, hardship and distress in North East Lincolnshire. As part of this they supply furniture and they currently have a long waiting list for beds, sofas, wardrobes and other furniture. Each year CARE’S Toys for Joys Scheme provides good quality toys and gifts for children of families in genuine financial need. If you work for a local organisation or agency, and know of a family who could benefit from this scheme, you can bring them along to select a few toys for a child this Christmas. This year’s Toys for Joy Scheme will take place on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th December at Grimsby Neighbourhood Centre, 289A Weelsby Street (Corner of Wellington Street) from 10am until 3pm.
The next Toys for Joys Scheme will take place on Friday 16th December at Immingham Civic Centre Hub, Pelham Road from 10am until 3pm.
