COVID-19 webinar for local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations on 24th September

A message from Steve Pintus, Director for Public Health at North East Lincolnshire Council, who is inviting members of the local VCSE sector to join in a Microsoft Teams discussion on 24th September at 10am. Full details below.

As you know, communities across the UK have been heavily impacted by the current global health pandemic. In North East Lincolnshire, thanks to everyone doing their bit and following the Government guidance, we have fared better than other areas.

Though we must not forget that the virus is still here and the number of daily cases are now increasing.

With official advice changing frequently as we learn more about this virus and how better to protect ourselves and each other, our priority is getting the key information to people in our area, and caring for those who are most vulnerable.

With this in mind, I wanted to write to introduce myself and give you an opportunity to join me for a discussion about the coronavirus and how best we can continue to work together and support each other and our communities. As Director for Public Health at North East Lincolnshire Council, I am coordinating the local response to COVID-19.

As local voluntary, community and social enterprise groups, you are likely to come into contact with many of our most vulnerable people, and are a valuable conduit through which vital information and support can be channelled.

With your help, I am confident that we can ensure everyone in North East Lincolnshire has the right information to keep themselves and their families safe.

I also want to take the opportunity to discuss with you the latest Government guidance to help you get back to the great work that many of you do as soon as is safe to do so.

On Thursday 24 September 2020 from 10am I will be hosting a call over Microsoft Teams for you to join. This will be open exclusively to our local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

If you would be interested in joining this conversation, please confirm your attendance to my colleague via email. Contact Royce Coates on Royce.coates@nelincs.gov.uk.

In case you are unable to make it, the session will be recorded and published to YouTube shortly afterwards so others can access it. Once we have received confirmation, we will issue a link through which you can join the call.
