Watch and enjoy as a story of love, devotion and tragedy unfolds with Garsington Opera’s FREE BIG SCREEN RELAY, in which former RSC director, Michael Boyd, brings Tchaikovsky’s fateful romance to life. The screening will be presented by artists from Garsington opera alongside local young performers from schools in N.E. Lincolnshire.

“THE EAST YORKSHIRE  MOTOR SERVICES BRASS BAND”

EYMS has an impressive roll call of competition successes and a string of prestigious performances have helped cement their enviable reputation for entertaining programmes with high-class playing. Since its formation in 1989, the East Yorkshire Motor Services Brass Band has competed at the National Brass Band Championships on no less than 16 occasions, a truly remarkable statistic, and winning in 1992. Besides the contest success, other highlights for the Band include appearing on the BBC programmes ‘Songs of Praise’ in 1993 and ‘Look North’ in 2003 & 2006. In 2002 the Band were invited to play a specially commissioned new piece at the opening of ‘The Deep’, Hull’s Submarium.

Resplendent in uniforms the band provides a stirring spectacle with its selection of music including slow and quick marches, strathspeys and reels.
