VANEL’s IGNITE team will be holding a stand at North East Lincolnshire’s largest Skills Fair at Grimsby Auditorium on Thursday 6th July. The team will be promoting volunteering and explaining to the young people the fair is aimed at how they can use becoming a volunteer to their advantage.
VANEL’s IGNITE team work to encourage young people aged 16 – 30 to take the lead on projects, campaigns and events of their own making. If you have an idea for a project which benefits your community and need funding in order to make it happen, contact IGNITE today! IGNITE@vanel.org.uk
VANEL is holding a variety of funding surgeries on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th July. Paul Chessman, the Director at the Tribune Trust, and experienced Funding Officer, Gary Allen, will be taking appointments from groups wanting to discuss funding. VANEL’s Finance Officer Richard Wendel-Jones will also be taking appointments from individuals and groups interested in applying for funding from the Humber Youth Association and the Crime Reduction Fund. VANEL is delighted to announce its most recent success in securing Big Lottery Fund monies for its new project which will recruit and train retired emergency service officers as local volunteers with local community safety partners. The project is live now so read on for much more information about the project, how to get in contact and to read the official press release.
VANEL are hiring four students who will be in the third year of their degree this September to work as Youth Leadership Mentors on the IGNITE programme, starting this September.
