Applications for funding from The People’s Heath Trust ‘Active Communities’ annual “Healthwin” are now being accepted today. Organisations’ and groups from around North East Lincolnshire are encouraged to put forward their ideas about how to improve the physical, social and mental health of their community and apply for funding from “HealthWin” to turn that idea into a reality.
The Humber Learning Consortium has been awarded the ESF Community Grants Programme 2016-18. The aim of the fund is to help unemployed people progress towards employment through access to learning and training opportunities. Grants of between £5,000 and up to £15,000 are available and an application support event will be taking place in Hull on Friday 31st August.
VANEL will be at SidFest this from 12 noon until 5pm this Friday promoting ‘Dogwatch’, a scheme which encourages dog walkers to look out for and report issues within their neighbourhood such fly tipping, graffiti and broken street lights etc.

Keep your diary clear on Thursday September 1st for VANEL’s promotional stand at St. Marks Church Community Hall in support of Anglian Water’s ‘Keep it Clear’ campaign. Join us from 10am until 3:30pm to find out about the sorts of things that should and shouldn’t be put down the drain or toilet and the reasons why.
Sector Support North East Lincolnshire (SSNEL) would like to know if there is appetite to meet on the 31st August 2016 to discuss putting forward a North East Lincolnshire application for the Dream Fund. In preparation they are asking organisations to take a look at the fund guidance and come to the meeting with project ideas for discussion with an aim to ‘think big and be creative as possible’.
