This scheme opens on 5 January 2016 for applications from registered charities and community groups in England, Scotland and Wales who are seeking funding for projects that advance community development. Unlike previous years, groups from across England can apply. Read more.

The BBC Children in Need’s Main Grants programme is open to charities and not-for-profit organisations applying for grants over £10,000 per year for up to three years.
I attended the launch briefing this week for the new funding initiative that the NEL CCG is presenting in conjunction with Big Lottery. The formal Press Release from CCG has been sent out (see here), but the timelines for application are extremely tight so I thought it worthwhile to outline some facts and information that’s not included in the Press Release.

Is your group or organisation working to make a real difference to the health of people in your community? North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) want to empower the local community to develop different approaches to health and wellbeing. We are looking to inject much needed funds into projects that promote community led responses to maximising good health and minimise the impact of conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Diabetes and Dementia on local people.
The NCVO Annual Conference will be on Monday 18th April 2016 and should be of interest to anyone in the sector.
