West Marsh Community Centre Volunteer Awards open once again for 2018 nominations

After two successful years, West Marsh Community Centre is once again organising a “Volunteer Awards” scheme which will culminate in an Awards Night event in November.

West Marsh Community Centre is asking for you to nominate the volunteers you feel have made important contributions across the community during 2018.

The awards themselves are open for nominations until 31st October 2018 (5pm) and after judging there will be a Community Volunteers’ Night to be held on Thursday 22nd November 2018 at 7.30 pm at CueWorld Grimsby.

Categories for nominations are:

Fundraiser of the Year 2018
Junior Award (up to 25 years old)
Senior Award (26 years+)
Sports Volunteer Award
Dance/Art/Music Volunteer Award
Team Group Award
Long Service Award (10 years+)

There will also be a Judges award.

Further details of each of these categories below:

VANEL is supporting West Marsh Community Centre by collecting the nomination forms which will then be judged after the closing date by an independent panel.  Please deliver your nomination forms as detailed below.  You’ll need to include a description of why you believe the volunteer deserves the award and also send a photo of the volunteer themselves.

Remember, every volunteer is always a winner anyway for the way they contribute their time and effort to organisations, communities and other people, but these Awards and celebration events are a way of ensuring that volunteering and volunteers get the recognition they deserve.  Get your entries in!
