Resilience and relationship first aid training
Resilience and relationship training is important for young people from all walks of life. Related to his Organised Dialogue work, Marcus Czarnecki (VANEL/NELC) has put on a programme regarding relationship training and dealing with adverse childhood impacts.
The first session took place on 29th September at West Marsh Community Centre and was a huge success. The information and training given can be crucial for young people developing themselves and their skills. People that attended the training came from all backgrounds regarding young people and the information given can be passed on and could be life changing and developing.
The session was open to the public as well as professionals. A number of people were from a teaching background or had children and relatives that this would benefit. The training also involved the local police and community support officers giving advice regarding the ACE’s (adverse childhood experiences) and a very interesting leaflet has been handing out with very relevant information and statistics. Marcus hopes to put on more sessions in the near future regarding resilience and changing the stigma regarding adverse childhood impacts and the effects on young people.
