Parliament Explained: New Podcast Series

UK Parliament have created a series of podcasts entitled ‘Parliament Explained’ to try and help people understand how Parliament works. Over the course of six episodes, the podcast will cover the following topics and themes:

Episode 1 – Parliament or Government? What is the difference?

Episode 2 – What actually happens in Parliament day-to-day

Episode 3 – Scrutiny: Questions and Debates

Episode 4 – Scrutiny: Select Committees

Episode 5 – Making and changing the law

Episode 6 – Get Involved

This is Parliament’s first attempt to create a comprehensive, wide angle look at how Parliament works in this format. They hope the audio format will prove accessible to those who are interested in Parliament but are perhaps not so able or willing to engage with their printed publications or website.
