New policy directions for the allocation of Big Lottery Funds in England
Government is seeking views on proposed new policy directions for the allocation of Big Lottery Funds in England, Isle of Man and UK-wide funding programmes. This consultation closes on 12 August 2016.
More than a Pub – Plunkett Foundation
The Community Pub Business Support Programme is a unique two year programme established to help support community ownership of pubs in England. Its value is £3.62 million and is jointly funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government and Power to Change. A comprehensive package of business development support, advice and loan and grant funding has been developed to assist community pub businesses consider their viability at all stages of their development.
Test it and Build it awards – Sport Relief
This year, Sport Relief are building on their partnership with UnLtd and Spirit of 2012 to help savvy young people become Sport Relief social entrepreneurs and put on events and services in their local area.
UnLtd are looking for young people from across the UK who want to start, grow or build their social enterprise idea. If you want to take your Sport Relief event further you can apply for an Award from UnLtd by submitting an online form. You can apply for a Test it Award of up to £500 cash or a Build it Award of up to £15,000 cash. Awards can be applied for by an individual or small group of up to four people aged 11-30.
supporting vulnerable energy customers
The Department of Energy & Climate Change has launched the 2016/17 Big Energy Saving Network £1.7 million grant funding programme. This programme of training, support and funding is for voluntary sector organisations to deliver an extensive programme of outreach to vulnerable consumers, focussed on helping them reduce their energy costs through assisted action on tariffs, switching and the take up of energy efficiency offers. Grant funded projects will be co-ordinated by a Network Champion – each Champion will receive specialised training – and each successful grant is for a sum of £5,000 per Champion.
