Organised by DN35 (online community watch group) and KDARS (a local charity giving support to parents of children with kidney disease), the event is a party in the park in order to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. We hope this will demonstrate the parks potential to bring the local community together and allow Sidney Sussex residents to enjoy their local facilities.
The event will take place at Sidney Park, Cleethorpes on 12th June 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm. parking will be available for a number of cars from the Park View entrance.
The organisers have put together a number of activities to ensure that there is something for everyone.

A climbing wall will also be erected near the Brereton Ave entrance. The Pitstop (tuck shop run by KDARS) will be open for drinks and sweets. A ice cream van and burger van will be inside the park throughout the day. Karaoke will be onsite situated near the Pitstop.
The Grimsby and Cleethorpes Model Boat Club will holding a model boat event in the purpose built Model Sailing Pond. This will involve static displays of model boats and working models being used in the pond. Members are always happy to give information on the models. Along with the model boat club, the pond side will also host members of the RNLI and Coast Guard who will be attending the event.
