VANEL achieves their GOLD Healthy Workplace Award

Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire (VANEL) has been awarded the GOLD award, in recognition of the organisation’s ongoing achievement in promoting a healthier working environment.

The whole team at VANEL have worked on a range of initiatives including the promoting the importance of recruitment and retention, proactive action planning and creating a safe and healthy environment within the workplace.

Paula Grant, Chief Officer Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, said:

“I am extremely proud of the integrated approach the whole team has taken to create a healthier and happier workplace, which was reflected in our annual staff survey results, as well as the wide range of activities we have completed together.”

Allen Young, Chair of Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, said: “the award reflects the dedication and commitment by Paula and her team to continually improve and support the ongoing health and wellbeing of our people. VANEL is an organisation that supports and cares for us all and the award reflects that too.

Dan Pyrah, North East Lincolnshire Healthy Workplace Programme Manager, said:

“It has been a real please to work with Richard and the health champions at VANEL, helping to support them to achieve their gold award, and more importantly seeing them constantly improving the health and wellbeing of their whole workforce.”

“A huge amount of effort and commitment has been put into achieving this award. Ongoing development has continued from when achieving the Bronze and Silver awards, new initiatives have been put into place including achievement of the Mindful Organisation status and related awareness training, new recruitment and retention approaches for staff, participation in national health campaigns and continuous awareness and promotion of health improvements especially with young people. Keep up the great work!”
