VANEL online Trustee Network ready to launch
On 1st November the VANEL Trustee Network will be ready to go live. If you are one of those people involved with the leadership, governance or management of a voluntary sector organisation, then you’re invited to join the Network. Mainly we’re aiming at charity Trustees and volunteer committee members of voluntary or community sector organisations. But you might be a social enterprise director or in management steering a voluntary organisation. The Network is still for you.
It’s a private, online meeting and discussion space. There will be daily ideas, suggestions, thoughts, tips and more. You can ask your own questions, join in discussions, share ideas or experiences and generally get support from your peers and others interested in governance, trusteeship or leadership.
No meetings to attend – just get involved when you can, read what others are saying, learn, get inspired, seek help, make suggestions and more.
You need a login and password to come on board – request these via Karl Elliott at VANEL (karl@vanel.org.uk) – Karl is managing the site and the support. You need to supply your name, the organisation you’re involved with and your role.
Membership of the Trustee Network is free to all involved with organisations that are VANEL Members or Friends. All of the Trustees on your board/committee can join the Network for free – it’s our way of sharing our governance support more directly with VANEL member organisations.
If you’re not part of a VANEL member organisation then the best route is for your organisation to join up (£25 per year for any organisation. If you’re local and a charity then you’ll become a Member, otherwise you’ll get our associate membership as a Friend. All the details here).
But an individual can also join up for just £12 per year, or if, for some reason your organisation cannot join as a VANEL member, then you can still get ‘external’ access for £36 per year to include all your trustees. Contact Karl to discuss further.
Daily articles. A monthly roundup e-bulletin. A space to discuss with your peers. A simple and cost-effective way to get support for your charity board.
