Update from Cruse

Cruse Bereavement Care plans to train more volunteers to provide face-to-face support for bereaved people in North and North East Lincolnshire.

A training course, mounted by the South Humber Area of Cruse, will be held on the following eight Saturdays in 2014, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm : March 22nd, March 29th, April 5th, April 12th, April 26th, May 10th, May 17th, June 8th.   The first four sessions will be held at the Ironstone Centre in Scunthorpe and the second four at the Novartis Sports and Social Club in Grimsby.  Training will be free of charge save for a registration fee of £50  (bursaries may be available for this).

When trained, volunteers will become membes of either the Scunthorpe or the Grimsby Branch of Cruse.  Those who wish  will be eligible to apply for accreditation with ASCENTIS at Level 2.

Cruse faces a growing demand for its services and urgently needs more volunteers to reduce waiting lists.  Please would you be willing to join our efforts to restore hope to clients who have suffered the devastating trauma of bereavement?
