Positive Activities ‘Spirited’ Programme Needs Your Vote!
Positive Activities are looking to introduce their new community empowerment programme, Spirited, and have made it though to round two of The Aviva Fund. To be in with a chance of receiving the £1000 funding that they need in order to trial the Spirited programme, Positive Activities needs your vote! Thinkspiration Workshop
The National Youth Agency (NYA) in partnership with O2 Think Big is launching an exciting programme aimed at young people aged between 17 and 25-years-old in the UK. The Environment Now (TEN) will fund young people up to £10,000 to use digital technology to find innovative solutions to pressing environmental issues. On Tuesday 29th November 2016, Alex from O2 Think Big and Heather from NYA will be heading to Grimsby’s YMCA from 1pm until 3pm to hold a Thinkspiration workshop with young people to discuss/help you come up with an idea. Community Health Champions Outreach
VANEL’s Community Health Champions team have secured a regular spot at the Cleethorpes’ branch of Morrisons in Laceby, informing people about the health and wellbeing interventions that are available locally. They are hoping to visit a number of other places within the community such as schools, doctor’s surgeries and local businesses. Beach Hut #9
Brighten up your autumn days with a visit to beach hut #9. The beach hut was refurbished earlier in the year following a donation from the Tribune Trust, and is free for community use from schools, organisations and families. The beach hut is available between Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 3:30pm and can seat up to 8 people inside and 8 people on the veranda. To make a booking contact VANEL.

Friends of Cleethorpes’ Heritage: David Start Guest Talk
Friends of Cleethorpes Heritage have had to postpone their guest talk with David Start on ‘The Nunneries’, which was due to take place on Saturday 19th November 2016, and would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused. The talk with David Start will now take place on Saturday 28th January 2017, at St. Peters’ School Hall, Cambridge Street, Cleethorpes and will instead be on ‘Lost Abbeys Around Cleethorpes’.
