Spirit of the Community Awards
The Yorkshire & Clydesdale Bank Foundation supports projects that advance financial education, improve employability and promote environmental protection or improvement in areas where the Bank operates in England and Scotland. Deadline 8 April.

The tenth edition of the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge is a fact. As of today green entrepreneurs with a sustainable business plan can enter the competition. The winner is rewarded with €500,000 to further develop his or her product or service and bring it to market. The runner-up will receive €200,000. Do you know a green entrepreneur with a promising business plan, or do you own a sustainable start-up yourself? Please do not hesitate and submit your entry before June 1, 2016.
Grants from £1,000 to £100,000 are available to support a wide variety of arts-related activities, from dance to visual arts, literature to theatre, music to combined arts. Applications can be made anytime.
Grants of £18,000 are available for registered charities with an income below £30 million for designing a new website to increase income and impact.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to UK Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies and Credit Unions to fund local projects helping disadvantaged people.
Community groups, charities and organisations with an interest in crime reduction and public safety can bid for grants from the scheme. Youth projects have also benefitted significantly from funding. Examples include grants for CCTV equipment, security gates for alleyways to reduce burglaries and anti-social behaviour, and projects to divert young people at risk of committing crime into more positive activities.
