Youth volunteering in health and care – an opportunity to influence and shape roles

VANEL are seeking information from local groups to help shape a “youth volunteering toolkit”. Please let us know what what youth volunteering looks like in your organisation.

We are working with partners in Humber and North Yorkshire to develop a youth volunteering toolkit to help young people get into volunteering and/or enhance their existing volunteering role.

Please complete the short survey by clicking this link: Youth Volunteering Engagement Survey to give us an overview of your involvement with youth volunteering.

Please note that when you submit the form, it will not automatically collect your contact details you need to complete them if you would like us to contact you afterwards.

We are reaching out to voluntary and community health and care organisations to :
1. Help us build a clearer picture of who is/is not involving younger volunteers (aged 16 to 25) in our area
2. Better understand the challenges, barriers, benefits, and opportunities of youth volunteering so we can create a useful toolkit of shared resources and support available
3. Invite you to a follow-up conversation to explore youth volunteering further with your organisation

If you already have experience with youth volunteers or you are thinking about engaging youth volunteers, then we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch…

Contact our Volunteer Service Support Worker, Liz Dugard via email: liz@vanel.org.uk or call 01472 231123 and leave a message. We look forward to hearing from you.

VANEL is one of several partners involved in this project. You can find out more about the project here.
