Whilst VANEL works with hundreds of voluntary sector and community organisations and groups across North East Lincolnshire, we have a special supportive relationship with our Members and Friends organisations who form the core of our Membership.
Membership of VANEL costs just £25 each year (at the price of coffee these days that’s less than the price of a coffee every two months!)
Members support VANEL and the work we do and are invited to our AGM’s, have voting rights and can help support our work. (Friends are organisations that are not strictly community focused such as businesses or statutory organisations so the only difference is that Friends don’t get voting rights).
In turn VANEL looks to work closely with our Members and support them.
Members have access to our smal but experienced staff team who can provide advice, information, signposting and a ‘critical friend’ approach to questions you might have.
Our core staff team have all been working within the sector and North East Lincolnshire for decades so have experience and connections across our community. We’re well connected to networks and experienced in, amongst other things, funding and project managing community projects.
By us understanding our members we are able to help promote and connect their work through our own networks and dealings with other groups. So please use you membership to keep in touch with the team, keep us informed and ask your questions.
Where we provide specific services (such as occasional ad hoc training or room hire at our community hub at 82 Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes) then members get a discount.

Volunteer Support Membership
VANEL also have a Volunteer Development Service (VDS) offer which includes access to our Volunteer Managers Network (VMN). See more details here. This service is an additional £50 annually on top of the £25 VANEL membership fee. Speak to Liz for more information.
