Normally the VANEL AGM (Annual General Meeting) is held in October. However, this year we’ve made a few changes and have got ahead of ourselves on the accounts, so we’ve brought the AGM forward to July.
So 24th July, 12noon will be the VANEL AGM for the year ending March 2025.

All our Members/Friends and supporters are invited to attend.
The AGM is a chance to carry out our formal reporting to our members and to reflect (briefly) on the work we did in the previous financial year. But by the time we get to an AGM in October, that year is long gone and we’ve kept moving forward. So, a July AGM keeps the previous delivery year much fresher in our minds.
We’re always grateful to the representatives from our Member organisations who come to our AGM’s to support us. This year we’ve not put on a large scale event – we’re simply asking people to come to meet the team and trustees at our offices/community hub and see what we’re up to. Whilst we have connection to our groups throughout the year, not everyone gets a chance to visit us and chat face to face. Hopefully the AGM gives another brief opportunity for this – but please do drop into our offices at any other time if you can’t make it on the day of the AGM.
VANEL also updated our constitution after the 2024 AGM to allow us to hold meetings and AGMs remotely (as we did for a while during the Covid years!). So if you can’t make it to the office, please ask for a Zoom link and join us online this year.
Whilst only Member organisations can vote/propose/second motions during the AGM, we welcome any groups we connect with to visit us and hear what we’re up to.
Join us from 11.30am for drinks/cake for a 12noon AGM start until around 12.30.
