VANEL celebrates today after receiving National Lottery funding to rollout neighbourhood networking in rural North East Lincolnshire

Local NEL Charity, VANEL, is today celebrating after being awarded #NationalLottery funding to support its work with resident-led groups and Neighbourhood Watch. The charity, based in Cleethorpes, will use the money to help set up new groups and to provide further support to existing groups in the Wolds rural areas.

VANEL has been running since 1998 and currently has 8 staff supporting more than 100 voluntary and community groups across North East Lincolnshire.

The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK, will see the charity’s successful neighbourhood networking programme delivered in Grimsby and Cleethorpes expand for rural areas to benefit from.

At the same time, the charity will be able to continue to build upon its work with community safety partners and businesses across North East Lincolnshire, including Humberside Police, North East Lincolnshire Council, the Police and Crime Commissioner, neighbourhood watch groups, allotment associations and many more…

Thank you to National Lottery players for helping #MakeAmazingHappen.
