Over the Summer holidays this year, the Little Green Influencers Team were invited to extend their term-time weekly sessions (aimed at 2- to 5-year-olds) and to take part in the Family Hub’s FREE Family Fun Days.
Each one of the seven Family Hubs across North East Lincolnshire held a Fun Day and Little Green Influencers were in attendance at each one.
Two workshops were offered to the families throughout each Fun Day, starting with Family Den Building and Craft Activities. Families of all ages joined in the sessions with such enthusiasm. They all explored a range of den types for all seasons and worked hard together to build fantastic shelters from the sunny weather. They then went on to craft their own small world camping scene and peg person to take home and play with.
The excitement didn’t end there. The families continued with the second workshop to find out if Miss Goldilocks was innocent or guilty of breaking into the Three Bears’ home and making a mess!
The hilarious Three Bears tale was enjoyed before they toured the garden to find clues to decide for themselves! They all received a reward for solving the clues and had a great time taking photo-booth funny pictures. Following this, they had the chance to craft and share a picnic together.
The team hoped to attract 175 families across the Family Hub Fun Days but were delighted and overwhelmed by the 235 families that enthusiastically attended the workshops. What a Summer filled with lasting memories.

The Little Green Influencers VANEL – Gardening & Craft Group currently offer weekly term time sessions for 2 to 5 year olds and their caregivers at all the Family Hubs across North East Lincolnshire.
If you would like to join in the fun, you will be sure of a warm welcome.
